Who we are & How we got here

We’re Karen and Duwane Beach. We raised six wonderful children and are now grateful grandparents to a growing crew of eight. After the heartbreaking loss of our son, Mikey, we founded Center for Healing Under Grief (HUG) to support other parents navigating the pain of child loss. As HUG continued to grow, we began searching for a way to sustain its mission beyond donations alone.

From that search came the idea for Mikey’s Room, a concept we know he would have loved. That single spark has grown into The Restoration Rooms — a space where people can release what they’re carrying, relax into care, and reset their energy and spirit.

Each room will be named in honor of a child who has passed, sharing their stories and the impact they left behind — ensuring their light continues to touch others.

While The Restoration Rooms is a for-profit business, a portion of its proceeds will support HUG so that healing, connection, and community care can continue for years to come.

Immersive Rooms & Experiences:

At The Restoration Rooms, each space is designed to support emotional release, relaxation, and reconnection:

Emotional Release Room for releasing stress and pent-up emotions.

Halotherapy/Meditation Rooms for calming the nervous system and supporting breath and balance. Private rooms with individual halotherapy (dry salt therapy) cabins including either infrared sauna or red-light therapy and meditation space.

Grounding Room to center, unwind, and reconnect to the earth's natural energy.

Connection Lounge to share tea, conversation, quiet companionship, or hook up to an oxygen bar.

Resource Library offering wellness materials, guidance, and community support

Retail Shop featuring restorative self-care items and locally crafted goods

In addition to private individual bookings, we will host private parties, celebrations, and team-building experiences.
